According to China’s General Administration of Customs, the nation’s exports of textiles and apparel in March 2018 fell by 29.3% from the same month of last year to US$14.16 billion (provisional), which is the lowest since exports were at an extremely low level of US$10.98 billion in February 2017 due to the Chinese New Year holidays.

Exports of textiles dropped 23.3% to US$6.98 billion, along with those of apparel by 34.2% to US$7.18 billion.

Meanwhile, textile and apparel exports during January-March 2018 increased by 5.6% to US$57.45 billion: textiles, US$25.86 billion (up 12.4%) and apparel, US$31.59 billion (up 0.7%).
