Japan’s Disposable Diaper Production Increases in March

According to final production figures released from the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry (METI), the nation’s production of disposable diapers in March 2018 rose by 4.6% over to the same month of last year to 76,492 tons. In quantity, production increased by 1.5% to 2,032.6 million diapers.

The production of disposable diapers for babies increased by 8.7% in weight to 44,483 tons, and by 5.3% in quantity to 1,373.4 million diapers. Meanwhile, the production of disposable diapers for adults decreased by 0.7% in weight to 32,009 tons, and by 5.6% in quantity to 659.2 million diapers.
