According to China’s General Administration of Customs, the nation’s exports of textiles and apparel in May 2018 slightly increased by 0.1% from the same month of last year to US$23.44 billion (provisional).
May exports of textiles rose for the second straight month, up 8% to US$11.24 billion. Apparel exports decreased by 6.1% to US$12.20 billion.
Textile and apparel exports during January-May 2018 grew by 2.3% year-on-year to US$102.23 billion: textiles, US$47.58 billion (up 10.7%) and apparel, US$54.65 billion (down 2.3%).
