Epson to Produce Monna Lisa Evo Tre in Japan

Seiko Epson Corp. announced that it would start production and sales of Monna Lisa Evo Tre, the latest model of the Monna Lisa digital inkjet textile printing machine series, in Japan.

Epson has been producing and selling its digital textile printing machines mainly in Europe. As the company continues to strengthen its Japanese production with this product, sales will also begin in Japan, and will be expanded to the Asia-Oceania region. This will enable Epson to advance its digital printing business globally, and accelerate the shift toward digital printing with the use of inkjet printing machines in the textile printing sector.

Monna Lisa Evo Tre is equipped with Epson’s state-of-the-art inkjet PrecisionCore printheads, which significantly improve image quality and productivity, as compared with the previous model.

Epson plans to construct in fiscal 2019 a new building with trial production and mass production facilities for large-scale commercial and industrial printing machines and a test laboratory for digital printing on the Hirooka Office site, for establishing a setup that will provide products and services globally from two locations in Japan and Italy. The company will undertake research, development, planning and designing in close cooperation with related departments at the Hirooka Office where the headquarters functions of the Printing Solutions business is concentrated, with an intention of making further advancements in digital printing technology and products.
