Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corporation and its group’s think tank and research institute, The Kaiteki Institute, Inc. announced that they have jointly established “The Global Kaiteki Center” on campus in cooperation with Arizona State University in the U.S. on April 1st.

The center will focus on research aimed at realizing a sustainable society.

ASU has been named as the most innovative school in the U.S., in recognition of its culture of groundbreaking research and partnership, and has the world’s largest laboratory specializing in research on sustainability-related concepts and technology and a strong track record of outstanding research achievements.

The Global Kaiteki Center represents a landmark partnership between the MCHC Group and ASU, drawing upon the university’s excellent capabilities and expertise. The center will specify an issue to be solved, establish the concept necessary to address the issue, and promote technology development, while serving as a hub from which to disseminate Kaiteki (which means the sustainable well-being of people, society and our planet Earth) from the U.S. to the world.

The MCHC Group hopes to continually provide solutions for issues facing people, society and the globe, while offering value to society based on the group’s collective capabilities.
