           Shima Seiki U.S.A. Inc., the American subsidiary of Shima Seiki Mfg., Ltd., will hold the 4th edition of its “Global 3D (G3D) Knitting Seminar & Workshop” at its Showroom and Training Center located in the California Market Center in Los Angeles, California, U.S. on October 3rd and 4th.

On display will be cutting-edge computerized flat knitting technology, as represented by the latest WholeGarment machines, computerized flat knitting machines and 3D apparel design system.

Focus will be placed on the company’s Total Fashion System featuring its MACH2XS WholeGarment knitting machine and SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system at its core. Special emphasis is placed upon applications in eCommerce, taking advantage of on-demand manufacturing and just-in-time inventory made possible with the on-demand knitting capabilities of MACH2XS and virtual sampling capabilities on APEX3.

The seminar and workshop will not be limited to knit fashion however, but will also include a wide range of new applications in knitting technology, including sports apparel, aerospace and the IT industry. Keynote speakers will again highlight the event, while proposals for quick product planning and execution are made for each of these fields through the combination of MACH2XS and APEX3.

Other notable displays include the compact SWG091N2 WholeGarment knitting machine that offers flexible production as well as the capability for producing technical textiles for sports, medical and other industrial applications. The SRY183LP computerized flat knitting machine features two loop presser beds with inlay capability, offering new and exciting possibilities in hybrid knit-weave textiles. The SVR123SP computerized flat knitting machine also features a single loop presser bed for producing hybrid textiles. The SSR112 workhorse machine features such industry-leading Shima Seiki innovations as digital stitch control system (DSCS) and spring-type moveable sinker system in a compact, economical package.
