According to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam, the nation’s exports of textiles and apparel during January-August 2016 increased by 4.2% year-on-year to US$15,450 million.
Meanwhile, imports of raw cotton decreased by 2% to US$1,120 million, but the volume rose by 1.2% to 719,000 tons. Imports of yarns grew by 2.8% to US$1,040 million, along with those of fabrics by 2.3% to US$6,800 million.
