Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. has plans to make capital investments outside Japan with an aim at expanding its business in high-function nonwovens.
The Nonwoven Division in the Health Care Business Sector will promote the development of new functional nonwovens for sanitary and other applications, and in strengthening current businesses, it will expand high-function nonwovens for sanitary applications.
The company earlier announced investments for increasing its capacity at two locations in Japan: the Nagoya Plant that is scheduled to be launched in the second half of 2017 and manufacturing subsidiary Sunrex Industry Co., Ltd. in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture.
