The JFW Textile Fair Fall/Winter 2017, organized by the Japan Fashion Week Organization, will be held at the Tokyo International Forum on November 29th and 30th.
The fair consists of JFW Japan Creation 2017 (Japan’s largest textile trade fair) and Premium Textile Japan 2017 Autumn/Winter composed of carefully selected exhibitors. JFW-JC will have approximately 200 exhibitors, 217.2 booths, and PTJ exhibitors will number 85 cases, 115.6 booths.
Last year’s fair had approximately 17,000 visitors. In addition to Japan’s top brands, apparel firms and designers, trading firms and wholesalers visited the fair and enthusiastically held negotiations. Another feature of this fair is interactivity among exhibitors, as it is a good opportunity to promote cooperation and collaboration that go beyond the boundaries of textile production districts.
JFW sets forth four themes for fall/winter 2017: Illusory Zen Dialogue, (neutral tones underlined by cool and dignified modernity), Wanderer’s Memoir (an elegant and sensitive palette comprising tender muted hues enveloped in free-spirited lightness and casting a metallic trace), Graphical = Classical (An expressive range via exquisite tonal combinations, intermixing color essences for both bold and delicate allures), and Infinite Heartful Art (an energetic palette evoking joyous exultation, garnished with gracious gold).
