The Japan Best Knit Selection (JBKS) 2016 started on December 6th at the Tokyo International Forum with record number 66 exhibitors.
The first day of this two-day exhibition was crowded with visitors who wanted to see the latest in Japanese-made knitwear and fabrics. Many of the exhibitors showed products made with original technology and equipment, and visitors stopped to closely examine the workmanship of these products.
Morishita Co., Ltd. introduced a fabric for jackets, etc., for which differentiation has been promoted from the yarn stage; the yarn is blend of washi and polyester from Bingo-Nenshi Co., Ltd.
Shima Seiki Mfg., Ltd. demonstrated its MACH2XS WholeGarment knitting machine, and showed a wide line of sample products for the fashion and sports sectors. The company also presented its SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system and staf ‘Shima Trend Archive and Forecast” web-based fashion service, promoting its strength and forte in supporting all stages from planning to production.
