EDANA, the leading global association serving the nonwovens and related industries, announced an innovative addition to INDEX, the global exhibition showcasing the nonwovens and related industries in Geneva from April 4th to 7th, 2017.
Focusing on transportation, healthcare, geotextiles and filtration, each session will be launched with a leading speaker to take a step beyond the industry, and look at the global forces driving each area. From water scarcity to aging populations, from the rise of autonomous vehicles to the demand for more sustainable and cost-effective infrastructures, “Big Picture” speakers will address the global megatrends affecting and influencing each of the applications areas.
Following each speaker, the transportation, healthcare and geotextile session will then offer 3-4 speakers who will address the key challenges being met by nonwovens, and how through interconnections, the nonwovens and related industries are providing solutions to the world’s biggest and most important questions – how do we, as a society, continue both to care and function effectively.
While attendees interested in filtration will also have free access to the Big Picture speaker and the table-top exhibition at the FILTREX event, additional information, education, and networking will also be made available through the FILTREX conference, to be held on-site at INDEX for the first time.
EDANA General Manager Pierre Wiertz says, “This innovative way of offering INDEX participants the opportunity to hear expert speakers deliver key learnings on the challenges within their nonwoven sector of choice is intended to add even more value to their experience in visiting what can already be announced as the largest ever nonwovens exhibition in the world.”
