Taiwanese manufacturers of textured yarn are enjoying extraordinary Chinese procurements.
As a result of sharply increasing raw material prices and serious air pollution, manufacturers in Mainland China are forced to suspend production or extend their maintenance period. Because orders are shifting toward Taiwan, Taiwanese manufacturers are able to foresee their business in the next couple of months.
Since the prices of products are expected to rise, sales in the current quarter are likely to increase by more than 10% over the year before.
As a result of the increase in orders, major Taiwanese textured yarn manufacturers are maintaining an operation rate of 85% or higher in the current quarter.
According to a Taiwanese textured yarn maker, textured yarn prices have risen by more than 10% since the end of last October.
