Brother Industries, Ltd. announced that it established a sales and servicing facility for its industrial sewing machine business in the city of Danang, located in the central region of Vietnam, in January 2017. Operations at the new facility started in February.
In the apparel industry, the relocation of production from China to Southeast Asia has been increasing in recent years, and demand for industrial sewing machines in Vietnam is expected to grow further.
In response to such moves, the Brother Group consolidated representative offices for its industrial sewing machine business in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi into Brother International (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. last October, and has been striving to improve convenience in after-sales service, etc. for customers.
With the new facility in Danang, Brother establishes sales and servicing channels that can provide more detailed assistance to customers in the northern, central and southern areas of Vietnam respectively, and creates an environment in which customers can purchase and use Brother products more comfortably.
