According to a trade bulletin released from China’s General Administration of Customs, the nation’s exports of textiles and apparel in May 2017 decreased by 0.5% from the same month of last year to US$23,410 million (provisional). It was the first decrease in three months.
May exports of textiles rose by 2.0% to US$10,410 million, while those of apparel declined by 2.3% to US$13,000 million.
Textile and apparel exports during the first five months of this year increased by 2.1% year-on-year to US$99,880 million: textiles, US$43,490 million (up 2.3%) and apparel, US$56,390 million (up 1.9%).
