According to the General Administration of Customs in China, the nation’s exports of textiles and apparel in September increased by 4.3% compared to the same month of last year to US$23,750 million (provisional).
Of this, exports of textiles jumped 16.2% from the low level in September 2016 to US$8,970 million, while those of apparel decreased by 1.7% to US$14,780 million, thus deceasing for the second consecutive month.
Textile and apparel exports during January-September rose by 0.9% year-on-year to US$198,520 million: textiles, US$80,660 million (up 2.9%) and apparel, US$117,860 million (down 0.9%).
