Asahi Kasei and the Roica Eco Smart family of responsible stretch innovation have now doubled their commitment to smart sustainability by receiving the Cradle-to-Cradle Innovation Institute’s Gold Level material health certificate. This yarn is also a Hohenstein Environment Compatibility Certificated yarn, signifying at its end-of-life, it smartly breaks down without releasing any harmful materials.

This new C2C certification is an important evolution of Roica’s sustainably designed stretch yarn program, offering a dynamic and enlarged portfolio to add to the current GRS (Global Recycling Standard Version 3) by Textile Exchange Roica offer.

The Roica Eco Smart family is now a clear, world-first leader in premium eco-sustainable stretch yarns with proven credentials for market savvy choices that meet contemporary business needs and consumer desires for all garments in their modern wardrobe, for fashion, athleisure, sportswear, intimates and swimwear.

Furthermore, Roica is launching the new Roica Feel Good family of premium stretch that promises a new level of wellbeing performance, with ‘feel-good comfort’ and freshness. Roica CF yarn delivers an odor-neutralizing function that does not wash or wear out. Its active ingredient is locked in and only needs a modest % to work in any fabric matrix. Key partner, Maglificio Ripa, has excelled in creating a new range using it, and the Wolford brand has developed its own line of hosiery and lingerie with a new level of fresh confidence to customers already for the fall/winter 2018-19 season, which follow the recent commercial successes at Interfiliere in July also thanks to the Roica Eco Smart family of yarns, inspiring new lingerie collections by Wolford, Cosabella, Triumph and Aubade.
