On August 29, 2025, the project “ORGABITS”, which aims to contribute to society through activities to promote organic cotton, will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the project developed by Toyoshima & Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Naka-ku, Nagoya, President: Hanshichi TOYOSHIMA), which promotes the proposal of comfortable lifestyles. To commemorate this, from January 2024 ~ August 2025, we will hold various collaboration proposals and events centered on the 20th anniversary for fashion brands and consumers.
“ORGABITS” is an organic cotton promotion project that started in 2005 with the idea of contributing to the global environment and producers by “bits” together. In order to make it easier for organic cotton to be used and disseminated, more than 150 fashion brands have participated to date, and have produced a total of more than 11 million items with the “reversal idea” of delivering products made using 10% or more organic cotton to 100 times more people, rather than sticking to 100% organic cotton used for a single piece of clothing ( As of the end of June 2023).
The price of the items that have introduced ORGABITS includes donations to support organic cotton farmers and NPOs, and we have expanded the circle of social contribution activities that can be participated in on a daily basis through a single piece of clothing. The cumulative total amount of donations started in 2012 reached a total of 66,173,440 yen in August 2023, the 12th year of the donations.
As we celebrate our 20th anniversary on August 29, 2025, we will continue to propose collaborations, propose new collaborations, and hold events to express our gratitude to everyone who has been involved in ORGABITS until now, with the period from January 2024 to August 2025 as the 20th anniversary period.
