signing ceremony

Chori Co., Ltd. has recently signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Zhejiang InResST Recycled Materials Technology Co., Ltd., a Chinese manufacturer based in Zhejiang Province specializing in recycled fishing nets. Under this agreement, Chori will handle the sales of regenerated nylon staple and filament fibers derived from fishing nets in Japan. These fibers, produced through chemical recycling, include fine denier yarns suitable for lightweight, high-density woven fabrics.

InResST operates a business that collects, cleans, and processes marine-derived nylon waste such as fishing nets, regenerating it into nylon fibers. Through chemical recycling, the company can produce ultra-fine yarns, including those as thin as 11 decitex. InResST is committed to environmental sustainability and has obtained several certifications, including GRS (Global Recycled Standard), TE (Textile Exchange), and OBP (Ocean Bound Plastic), which verifies the proper collection and management of plastic waste.

As a strategic partner in Japan, Chori formalized the exclusive distribution agreement at a signing ceremony held on September 22. Moving forward, both companies aim to strengthen their collaboration and expand the market for sustainable materials. Product proposals have already begun in Japan, and the regenerated nylon fibers will be showcased at the Hokuriku Yarn Fair in Fukui City this November.
