Interest in Yuasa Yarn Guid Engineering’s Proposed Automatic Tension Control Device

On November 19–20, the Hokuriku Yarn Fair 2025 was held in Fukui City, where companies related to textile machinery parts showcased not only their core products but also equipment and testing devices, making a strong impression.

Yuasa Yarn Guide Engineering Co.,Ltd., a manufacturer of yarn guides, presented various types of guides and displayed a principle model of its automatic tension control device at the front of its booth. Many visitors expressed interest, saying they would like to “try it experimentally.” The device feeds back measurement values from the company’s own tension meter to the controller, enabling automatic tension control.

Takayama Reed’s Booth

Takayama Reed Co., Ltd., a reed manufacturer, exhibited not only various reeds but also maintenance equipment and numerous overseas-made testing and measuring instruments. “We had more visitors than expected, and many came from outside the Hokuriku production area,” the company noted.

Among the highlights were two newly proposed devices: the Swiss-made digital tension measuring instrument Tension Gauge 200 and the German-made mesh inspection device Mesh Expert. The Tension Gauge 200 allows easy measurement of variations in synthetic and stainless-steel meshes.

Dealers also made unique proposals: twisting machines and large-diameter winders

Miyashita Kiryo Exhibits Mini Twisting Machine

Textile machinery dealers Miyashita Kiryo Co.,Ltd and Marunaka Co., Ltd. also presented their own proposals. Both companies exhibited for the second consecutive time, following the previous fair held in Kanazawa.

Miyashita Kiryō introduced a mini twisting machine developed by Karikane Manufacture Limited. It can easily process a wide variety of yarns and is characterized by its suitability for small-lot, multi-variety production, high added value, and QR compatibility. “Since the actual machine was running, many visitors came. We also discovered that demand for fancy yarns is unexpectedly high. We had positive discussions, and even when we presented prices, the reactions were favorable,” the company reported, noting particularly strong evaluations from visitors seeking trial use or small-lot production.

Marunaka’s Large-Diameter Winding Machine, MTCW

Marunaka Shoten, which also manufactures and sells independently developed textile machinery such as winding devices, once again focused on its large-diameter winding device MTCW. This device winds woven fabric under constant tension. Controlled by a load cell (which converts mechanical force into electrical signals), it ensures consistent winding and stable quality. “Many existing customers visited, but there were also consultations from companies considering a shift from apparel to industrial materials, showing interest in large-diameter winding,” the company explained.
