According to China’s General Administration of Customs, the nation’s exports of textiles and apparel in October increased by 1.0% compared to the same month of last year to US$21,680 million (provisional).
Of this, exports of textiles grew by 6.7% to US$9,180 million, while those of apparel decreased by 2.8% to US$12,500 million. Apparel exports decreased for the third consecutive month.
Textile and apparel exports during January-October 2017 rose by 0.9% year-on-year to US$220,160 million: textiles, US$89,820 million (up 3.3%) and apparel, US$130,330 million (down 0.6%).
