HIMAC α-300

Todo Seisakusyo Ltd, a producer of textile machinery, is strengthening its efforts to develop new models. The company recently unveiled the HIMAC α-300, a new warp tying machine used in the warping and weaving-preparation processes of textile production. Over the coming year, it will also introduce new models of its automatic drawing-in machine and warp leasing machine.

Two years ago, the company adopted a policy of “taking on the challenge of developing entirely new models,” and has since accelerated its development activities. The first result of this initiative is the HIMAC α-300, which was showcased at the Hokuriku Yarn Fair 2025 held in Fukui City in November.

Based on the previous model, the new machine incorporates a mechanism that actively holds the yarn, improving usability. It can handle delicate yarns such as easily breakable or ultra-fine yarns. The color has also been changed to gray metallic, giving it a refreshed appearance.

Although the prototype is currently being tested by manufacturers in production regions, the machine received strong positive feedback at the Hokuriku Yarn Fair 2025—not only from companies in Hokuriku but also from those in Bishū, Bingo, and other textile regions—many saying that “it can tie yarns that were previously difficult to handle.” This has given the company confidence as it moves toward full-scale sales.

In addition to being Japan’s leading manufacturer of warp tying machines, the company is a comprehensive producer of preparation machinery, including automatic drawing-in machines—which automatically thread warp yarns through heddles, droppers, and reeds to fully automate loom preparation—and warp leasing machines, which arrange warp yarns in the correct order. It also manufactures and sells semiconductor automation equipment and transport machinery. Textile machinery accounts for roughly 60% of its total sales. One of its strengths is its domestic and international support network, including agents, with engineers from its plant in Konan City, Shiga Prefecture, providing on-site service.

Furthermore, the company collaborates with Marunaka Co., Ltd. , a machine shop that also manufactures textile machinery. The two companies coordinate their sales channels for large-diameter winding devices produced by Marunaka , dividing the market according to customer needs.
