According to a trade bulletin released from China’s General Administration of Customs, the nation’s exports of textiles and apparel in September 2016 sharply decreased by 15.5% from the same month of last year to US$22,760 million (provisional). The decrease was considerably greater than the 3.1% decrease in August.

Exports of textiles dropped 20.5% to US$7,720 million, and those of apparel fell 12.6% to US$15,040 million.

January-September exports of textiles and apparel declined by 6.0% year-on-year to US$198,650 million: textiles, US$78,890 million (down 3.6%) and apparel, US$119,760 million (down 7.5%).
