UNIQLO, in collaboration with FamilyMart Co., Ltd. and Lawson, Inc., will launch this spring a convenience store pickup service for UNIQLO products at FamilyMart and Lawson stores throughout Japan. Together with a similar service already available at Seven-Eleven stores, this expansion will allow UNIQLO customers to pick up their purchases at any of the approximately 43,000 convenience store locations throughout Japan. Teijin Limited has completed the acquisition of all the shares of Continental Structural Plastics Holdings Corporation (CSP), a global leader in automotive lightweight composite technologies. This US$825-million acquisition was completed on January 3rd, Eastern Standard Time.
The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) is entering fashion showroom business in the U.S. The purpose is to support the development of overseas sales channels for Japanese men’s fashion brands, and six brands will participate. JETRO has been supporting the participation of Japanese firms in exhibitions, and it is the first time that it is collaborating with local showrooms and supporting marketing activities before and after exhibitions.
