Techtextil and Dornbirn Man-made Fibres Congress (MFC) in Austria are collaborating on their next editions.
This year’s MFC, set for September 20th to 22nd, will be the 55th time the congress is being held, and participants will have the opportunity to visit the Techtextil information stand to see what is on the agenda of the next Techtextil, the leading international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens (May 9th to 12th, 2017).
In turn, Dornbirn MFC will put together a three-hour block of lectures as part of the Techtextil Symposium 2017, and will also be represented with a stand at the trade fair.
Michael Jänecke, Director Brand Management Technical Textiles & Textile Processing at Messe Frankfurt, explains, “In sectors such as technical textiles and nonwovens that are driven by innovation there is a close link between research and application. Dornbirn MFC provides a platform to present the results of the latest research, while Techtextil shows ‘real life’ product innovations.”
Friedrich Weninger, Managing Director of the Austrian Chemical Fibres Institute, says, “Our collaboration creates an even stronger link between research and practice, and provides added inspiration for visitors to both events”.
