According to a trade bulletin released from the China’s General Administration of Customs, the nation’s exports of textiles and apparel in August 2016 decreased by 3.1% compared to the same month of last year to US$27,940 million (provisional).

The decrease is smaller than the 6.9% decline in July.
August exports of textiles increased by 5.2% to US$10,250 million, while those of apparel fell by 7.3% to US$17,690 million.

Textile and apparel exports during January-August 2016 decreased by 4.6% year-on-year to US$17,596 million: textiles, US$71,180 million (down 1.3%) and apparel, US$104,780 million (down 6.6%).
