Teijin Frontier Positions Solotex as Strategic Sales Material

Teijin Frontier Co., Ltd. has positioned Solotex polytrimethylene terephthalate (PTT) fiber as a strategic sales material, and will strengthen its promotion at home and abroad.

In addition to the fashion sector where sales are steadily increasing as Solotex is highly appreciated for its hand, the company will focus on the development of demand in the sportswear sector, and in the current fiscal 2016, it aims at increasing the sales quantity by about 40% over the previous fiscal year.

In regard to sales toward the sportswear sector in Japan and abroad, presentations for application in pants and blousons will be increased by promoting the merits and advantages of Solotex, such as comfortable stretch and hard-to-degrade characteristic.

A website for Solotex in Japanese, English and Chinese was also started from April this year.
Teijin Frontier plans to increase sales of Solotex by about 40% in fiscal 2016, and by 25-30% annually thereafter. The sales quantity in fiscal 2019 is expected to more than double as compared with fiscal 2016.
