Teijin Limited has purchased approximately 1.8 million square meters (about 440 acres) of commercial land in Greenwood, South Carolina (U.S.).
The company plans to invest US$600 million by around 2030 for establishing a highly efficient carbon fiber production site on the acquired land in order to meet diversifying demands in automotive and aircraft applications. This project is to create some 220 jobs.
