With immediate effect, or as existing contracts permit, BASF SE will increase its European selling prices for BDO and its derivatives, which are used for producing engineering plastics, polyurethanes, solvents and elastic spandex fibers.
The increases are: 1,4-Butanediol (BDO), up 50 euro/ton; tetrahydrofuran (THF), up 75 euro/ton; polytetramethylene ether glycol (PolyTHF), up 100 euro/ton; N-Methyl-2-Pyrrolidone (NMP), up 75 euro/ton; Gamma Butyrolactone (GBL), up 75 euro/ton; and polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), up 40 euro/ton.
