The Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) expects that the nation’s exports of textiles and apparel are likely to rise by 10% this year compared to the previous year. 2016 exports grew by 5.2% over the previous year to US$28.5 billion.

According to Vinatex Managing Director Pham Minh Huong, the outlook is bright, as orders received during January-March 2017 increased in general for the Vietnamese textile and apparel industries.

January-March 2017 Vietnamese exports of textiles and apparel grew by 11.2% year-on-year to US$6,840 million.
