Invista Selling Apparel & Advanced Textiles Business

Invista has entered into a definitive agreement with Shandong Ruyi Investment Holding to sell Invista’s Apparel & Advanced Textiles business, one of its four major business units. Completion of the agreement is subject to customary closing conditions including regulatory clearances from competition authorities. Closing is expected by mid-2018. The purchase price is undisclosed. Rieter’s Order Intake Up 6% in Jan.-Sept. 2017

Rieter reported that the amount of orders received by the Rieter Group during the first nine months of 2017 increased by 6% year-on-year to CHF 765.0 million . The order intake in the third quarter was CHF 269.7 million. The market environment during the quarter was characterized by different dynamics in individual countries as well as with regard to the product categories. While Rieter achieved a high order intake in Asia (excluding China, India and Turkey), demand in China, and particularly India, was restrained.
