Messe Frankfurt France is launching Leatherworld from September 17th to 20th, 2018 in Paris, alongside Texworld, Apparel Sourcing, Shawls & Scarves, Texworld Denim and Avantex Paris. Michael Scherpe, President of Messe Frankfurt France, elaborated, “Leatherworld Paris is a new event with the Messe Frankfurt France hallmark. Toray Hybrid Cord Falsifies Product Inspection Report Data

Toray Industries, Inc. disclosed that its subsidiary, Toray Hybrid Cord, Inc. (THC) has falsified data that was provided in inspection reports to thirteen of its customers. Toray will now investigate the operations of the entire group. At present, no legal violations or other problems relating to product safety have been found. Between April 2008 and July 2016, THC falsified data in inspection reports for parts of products that were manufactured in its factory headquarters before being provided to customers, including car parts manufacturers, felt makers for paper production and tire manufacturers. Adeka and GH Craft Develop World’s First Fiber-to-Composite Direct Molding Process

           Adeka Corporation, a material manufacturer of chemical and food products, and GH Craft Ltd., a composite structure design, development and evaluation unit of the Teijin Group, have jointly developed the world’s first fiber-to-composite (FtoC) molding process to laminate fiber-reinforced plastics (FRP) in open molds. Adeka and GH Craft will unveil carbon-fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) samples made with their new FtoC molding process at SAMPE Japan, an international trade fair showcasing the latest advances in materials and processing engineering at Tokyo Big Site from November 29th to December 1st (Booth S-09, East Hall).
