According to the China General Administration of Customs, the nation’s exports of textiles and apparel in January 2019 increased by 9.2% over the same month of last year to US$25,062.8 million. Although exports of both textiles and apparel increased, the increase may be the result of a rush of production before the Chinese New Year.

January textile exports grew by 14.6% to US$11,412.0 million, and those of apparel rose by 5.1% to US$13,650.8 million. Apparel exports rose for the first time in three months since October 2018.
