As China’s largest professional labor protective equipment exhibition, the 100th China International Occupational Safety & Health Goods Expo (CIOSH 2020) was successfully held at the Shanghai International Expo Centre (SNIEC) from July 3rd to 5th.

After more than 50 years of development, CIOSH has become an industry spearhead, leading the scientific and technological developments of the personal protective equipment (PPE) industry in China, and has ushered its 100th anniversary this year.

This event attracted a total of 1,035 exhibitors and 21,207 visitors (25,000 visitors in 2019). Industry professionals gathered in Shanghai to obtain the latest market information and product technology.

The COVID-19 pandemic has severely affected the global exhibition industry. China has gradually restarted trade events from May. CIOSH organizers together with its partners and government authorities and the exhibition venue, SNIEC, took the necessary hygiene and protection measures to provide a safe, healthy and reliable exhibition environment.

Next to a mandatory mask policy in the exhibition halls, each visitor received a free anti-epidemic package (inclusive of disposal masks, gloves, sanitizer) on site. The organizers also controlled the flow of visitors and the maximum number of people entering the halls.

Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and China Textile Commerce Association (CTCA) signed a strategic cooperation agreement in March this year, and will rely on their respective advantages to further strengthen CIOSH. It was the first time that Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) was involved in the event.

Wolfram N. Diener, Chairman of Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., spoke highly of the new project for MDS, saying, “We believe that the cooperation will support CIOSH to become an important platform for trade and exchange for the global protective equipment producers and users.”
