According to Japanese Ministry of Finance trade statistics, the nation’s exports of shuttleless looms (for weaving fabrics with widths exceeding 30 cm) during January-September 2016 increased by 8% in quantity and 10.9% in value year-on-year to 8,575 looms worth 37,671.45 million yen.
India was the largest market; exports to India climbed 72.9% and 73.1% respectively to 3,066 valued at 13,812.80 million yen
Exports to China, the second largest market, decreased by 1.7% and 0.5% respectively to 2,689 worth 11,473.60 million yen.
Exports to Korea climbed 112.1% and 90.3% respectively to 333 valued at 1,107.55 million yen.
Exports also sharply increased to Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Italy, Russia, Turkey and Colombia.
