Pegasus Sewing Machine Mfg. Co., Ltd. will release the GXT series of dry-head type, variable top feed, safety stitch machines and overedgers on the world’s markets from February 22nd.
The new GXT series is a dry-head industrial sewing machine that employs state-of-the-art grease lubrication technology. This is the first time that a dry-head system is used for top feed mechanism. The series has a full line of subclasses that can sew a variety of fabrics, from heavyweight knitted fabrics and denim to lightweight woven fabrics. This high-spec model features ease of operation, and produces beautiful seams. Available in two types, the GXT3200 series is a dry-head type, variable top feed, safety stitch machine, while the GXT5200 series is a dry-head type, variable top feed overedger.
The two series commonly feature stitch length adjustment (by a push of a button), differential feed ratio adjustment (lever plus micro adjustment), a maximum machine speed of 6,000 stitch/min. and grease and automatic lubrication.
State-of-the-art grease lubrication technology is used for the needle bar mechanism, upper looper mechanism and top feed mechanism. Dry-head type machines protect important products from oil stains.
The dry-head type machine contributes to increasing production with a maximum machine speed of 6,000 stitch/min.
The top and bottom feed dogs accurately feed the fabric, producing high-quality products with no plyshift or twist. Pegasus reviewed the top feed mechanism, and achieved a top feed pressure lower than on conventional machines, which prevents jumping problems from occurring.
The newly shaped needle thread take-up (included as standard on subclasses –M03) produces properly tightened and excellently finished seams, with low needle thread tension. On safety stitch machines, the combination of double chainstitch thread take-up and needle plate creates soft stitches, called balloon stitches.
The GXT series can sew various types of knitted and woven fabrics and sewn products by changing the position of the presser arm shaft. This series includes many subclasses, and can respond to a wide range of applications by replacing some of the parts.
The presser foot can be floated slightly above the fabric during sewing to prevent seam jamming, fabric twisting and fabric damage caused by the feed dog.
The front-to-back movement position (rear-fixed type or divided-in-half type) can be easily adjusted for the top feed dog in accordance with each operation.
The up-and-down stroke of the top feed dog can be selected as desired. Large and strong strokes are used for sewing heavyweight fabrics and cross seam sections, and small strokes with a soft touch for sewing lightweight fabrics.
