Isetan Mitsukoshi will open its doors on the ground floor of the Maison de la Culture du Japon in Paris on October 1st.
The 90-square-meter Paris store will offer a genuine concentrated taste of the Tokyo department store, which is world famous for its unique shopping experience.

The selection of products based on Made-in-Japan excellence, the skill and expertise of Japanese designers and artisans, the culture of service pushed to the extremes of refinement, the permanent quest for the perfect curation and presentation are the soul of this impeccable hyakkaten.

The permanent store designed by architect Tsuyoshi Tane (DGT) offers a selection of original lifestyle objects (More Trees), stationary and office accessories (Postalco), porcelain pottery (signed by historic house Fukagawa Seiji), textile decoration (Tetsuya Nagata), culinary products and the famous Chabako cedar wood tea boxes, containing everything you need for an authentic tea ceremony. The fashion selection offers a great variety of ready-to-wear and traditional garments: JoJo shoes; Jutiq jewelry; Y. & Sons kimonos; the FDMTL denim line, etc.

An exhibition space that is also designed by architect Tsuyoshi Tane will be evolving in synch with the events taking place during the Parisian cultural season (art fairs, photography exhibitions, festivities, etc.).
To celebrate this opening, Isetan Mitsukoshi will privatize, on October 1st, the whole Maison de la Culture du Japon, offering a variety of animations (traditional Wagashi baking workshops, flower exhibitions held by the Omotenashi flower service).
