An essential production hub for the garment manufacturing sector thanks to its low labor costs, Vietnam is currently a major supplier for both the European and U.S. markets. In light of the growing importance of Vietnam’s textile and apparel industries worldwide, the need for upgrading and technologically modernizing production facilities has become a priority for local authorities.
For the Italian textile machinery industry, Vietnam ranks among its top ten export markets. Italian textile machinery exports to Vietnam during the first ten months of 2016 increased by 6% over the same period of 2015 to 39 million euro.
