Japan’s Disposable Diaper Production Also Decreases in September

According to METI’s revised production statistics, Japanese production of disposable diapers in September 2018 decreased by 3.0% in terms of weight from the year before to 72,108 tons, as well as by 6.4% in number to 1,878.20 million.

Babies’ diaper production fell 8.5% in weight to 39,288 tons, and by 9.7% in number to 1,218.21 million. Meanwhile, the production of diapers for adults increased by 3.5% and 0.4% respectively to 32,820 tons and 660 million.
