Japan’s Disposable Diaper Production Posts Double-Digit Growth

According to the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the nation’s production of disposable diapers in March 2017 increased by 11.4% in terms of weight over the same month of last year to 81,448 tons, and by 11.1% in quantity to 2,225.44 million sheets.

Production continued to grow during January-March 2017, with growths of 8.6% and 10.1% respectively to 217,622 tons, 5,996.23 million sheets.

First-quarter production increased for both types for adults and babies.
