Marks & Spencer announced that it would close all ten of its department stores on Mainland China. Its Internet shopping site and stores in Hong Kong will continue to be operated.
The leading U.K. retailer closed five of its fifteen stores in China in 2015 with an aim at improving its management, but continued to suffer as consumers have been shifting toward Internet shopping.
